Kayla and Cody’s Cactus Joe’s wedding in Las Vegas was colorful, classic, fun, yet vintage—all at the same time! Earlier that year, I had the pleasure of capturing their engagement photos at the Neon Museum, so it was such a joy to photograph their wedding day as well.
Getting Ready, Details, & First Looks
The day began with Kayla and Cody getting ready separately in their rooms. Kayla had her hair and makeup done by @pazmakeupartistry, and she looked absolutely stunning! Cody wore a pinstriped suit paired with a burnt orange undershirt—an outfit that would perfectly suit their Cactus Joe’s wedding ceremony.
Kayla shared a sweet first look with her father, followed by an emotional first look with Cody. It was a truly heartfelt way to start their special day.
Cactus Joe’s Wedding Ceremony on Desert Love Land & Bridals
After getting ready and sharing their first looks, we made our way to Cactus Joe’s wedding venue for their Desert Love Land ceremony. The desert landscape setting was truly stunning, set at an impressive 3,245 ft. elevation. We were surrounded by rugged, sunlit mountains and a beautiful, clear blue sky. It couldn’t have been any more perfect for an outdoor ceremony.
The seating arrangement featured elegant gold chairs with white cushions, which beautifully complemented the natural backdrop. I also loved how Kayla and Cody provided fans on the seats for their guests—such a thoughtful touch for a hot desert wedding! The fans even featured a timeline for the day, which added a practical and personal detail. I also love that Cactus Joe’s can be turned into a wedding reception space as well.
Colorful Outdoor Mid Century Manor Wedding Reception in Las Vegas
After their Cactus Joe’s wedding and portraits, everyone boarded the bus and headed to Mid Century Manor for Kayla and Cody’s Las Vegas wedding reception. This venue is heavily inspired by the elegance of Old Las Vegas and is a beautiful, historic mid-century home that was once owned by a Las Vegas “casino boss”.
When we arrived, Cody and Kayla took portraits inside the Manor, which is adorned with stunning vintage décor. The Manor also offered a gorgeous outdoor setting for their reception, complete with pools. Kayla and Cody had an incredible time dancing the night away with their guests. Kayla even changed into a shorter reception dress, paired with pink Nike sneakers, to dance the night away in comfort and style!
