Las Vegas Elopement at Love Story Wedding Chapel & Neon Museum

cute picture of the newlyweds kissing

Grace and David knew they wanted their Vegas elopement to actually feel like Vegas, but still feel like them. Fun, easygoing, and focused on spending the day together. Their elopement at Love Story Wedding Chapel gave us the perfect mix. We started with a classic ceremony surrounded by what felt like a million glowing chandeliers, then headed out for photos at the Neon Museum before ending the night around downtown. Nothing about the day felt overly posed or serious, which was exactly the vibe they were going for. They laughed, drank champagne in the back of the car, wandered through old Vegas signs, and basically just had a really good time being newlyweds.

An Elopement at Love Story Wedding Chapel

This was actually my first time photographing at Love Story Wedding Chapel, and it had been on my bucket list for a while. The chapel has a few different ceremony backdrops but Grace and David chose the chandelier room, which is the largest and most popular. And I get it now, the chandeliers are somehow even prettier in person. The whole room has this romantic, upscale feel that photographs so well and feels completely different from some of the more vintage-inspired Vegas chapels.

Another huge perk if you’re planning an elopement at Love Story Wedding Chapel is that they don’t charge an outside vendor fee, so you can bring along the photographer you actually want to document your day. Everything is indoors too, which gives you a lot more flexibility with ceremony time. We also snuck into the pink room for a few Barbie-inspired bridal portraits of Grace because when you have a pink room at your disposal, obviously you use it.

Pairing Love Story Wedding Chapel With the Neon Museum

Love Story Wedding Chapel is super cute on its own, but there isn’t a ton immediately surrounding it for photos. That’s why I love the idea of pairing it with another nearby location. It’s close to Fremont, so downtown is an easy option, or you can do exactly what Grace and David did and head to the Neon Museum for a completely different look without spending half of your elopement driving around!!

The Neon Museum was such a good choice for these two because they wanted those unmistakable Vegas vibes. We photographed on the opposite side from the Lady Luck area, which gave us a whole new mix of old signs and colorful backdrops to play with. Grace even swapped her heels for cowboy boots, and paired with David’s light suit, the sunglasses, and her little sunflower bouquet, the whole thing felt playful and very Vegas without trying too hard.

Candid Vegas Elopement Photos That Actually Feel Like You

The biggest thing Grace and David wanted from their photos was to remember how much fun they had together, so that was really the approach throughout the entire day. There was plenty of room for the classic newlywed portraits, but there was also champagne in the back of the car, laughing until they couldn’t keep a straight face, wandering between neon signs, and eventually heading downtown once all those Vegas lights came on.

If you’re keeping your coverage short, Love Story Chapel paired with the Neon Museum or downtown can work really well for around 75 minutes of photography. You get the actual ceremony, some classic portraits, and then a completely different Vegas backdrop without trying to squeeze five locations into a tiny timeline. And honestly, I would take a day that gives you enough time to actually have fun together over rushing from photo spot to photo spot every single time.
